GLENDALE, ARIZONA -- The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the Arizona Coyotes Foundation's 2020 grant cycle will take place from July 1-31. Grant awards will be announced in September.

For the past 25 years, the Coyotes have proudly raised millions of dollars that have helped hundreds of organizations throughout the state of Arizona. The Arizona Coyotes Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life throughout Arizona communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote the four pillars of healthcare, education, cultural arts and sports-related programs for children and service men and women.

"The Arizona Coyotes Foundation is committed to Arizona and to giving back to our community," said Coyotes President and CEO Xavier Gutierrez. "We look forward to providing funding to numerous deserving non-profit organizations and programs in the Valley. It is essential for us to be a community leader and to expand on our efforts to help those in need."

The Foundation has added a new fifth pillar this year: Economic Empowerment. This includes organizations that promote personal financial wellness, provide support of small businesses or encourage entrepreneurship. Additionally, the Coyotes have also added a one-time pillar this year for organizations that support the health and well-being of those most directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are very pleased to introduce two new pillars for this year's grant cycle," said Alex Meruelo Jr., Chairman of the Arizona Coyotes Foundation. "The COVID-19 pandemic has affected so many people in our community. It's important for us to support non-profit organizations that are helping those in need during this unprecedented time. In addition, we are proud to provide financial aid to organizations that are supporting small businesses to help stimulate our economy."

Arizona 501C3 nonprofits (detailed requirements on application) can apply at arizonacoyotes.com/foundation.
