The Arizona Coyotes have motored into the Motor City.
Just one game removed from an impressive 4-0 shutout over the Carolina Hurricanes, the Coyotes are set to face Detroit Red Wings, who have won three straight games, and are 6-2-2 in their last 10.
Both Lawson Crouse and Nick Bjugstad have been impressive the past two games, as they've recorded three and four points over that span, respectively. Crouse, in fact, leads the team with nine goals, seven of which have come in the last 11 games.

The Coyotes have fared well against the Red Wings in recent years, as they have won four straight games against them, including a 9-2 win in Detroit last season.
Clayton Keller has recorded four goals and three assists in his last three games against Detroit.
Goalie Karel Vejmelka is coming off a
36-save shutout on Wednesday
, his second in four games. The 26-year-old is 6-5-1 in 13 appearances this season, with a 2.51 goals-against average and .916 save percentage, which ranks 13th in the league.

The Coyotes and Red Wings will play once more this season, on Jan. 17 at Mullett Arena.
Player to Watch: Nick Bjugstad's hard work all season is finally paying dividends, as the 30-year-old forward has three goals and one assist in his last two games. Combine that with the fact that his five goals and six assists in 23 games against the Red Wings lead all of his teammates, and he's your player to watch on Friday.

ABOUT THE RED WINGS
Detroit is on the upswing following a long rebuild, and have been anchored by goalie Ville Husso, who is 8-2-3 with a 2.36 GAA, .922 SV% and three shutouts. Though starting lineups were not available prior to publishing, the 27-year-old has emerged as the Red Wings' clear No. 1 starter this season, and is 3-1-1 in his last five starts.
Detroit has had little trouble finding the scoresheet as of late, outscoring its opponents 16-5 over the last three games.
Captain Dylan Larkin leads the way in all offensive categories, as his 23 points, nine goals, and 14 assists are all tops on the team. New arrival Dominik Kubalik also has nine goals and is just two points behind Larkin.
Rookie Jonatan Berggren has impressed since receiving his NHL call-up on Nov. 10, as he's notched one goal and three assists in six career games.
Though Husso's numbers lead the way, Alex Nedeljkovic is a very capable backup, even if he's had a slow start to the season. The 26-year-old, who finished third overall in Calder Trophy voting following the 2020-21 season, is 2-3-1 with a 4.33 GAA and .873 SV%.
Player to Watch: Veteran David Perron has recorded a point in five straight games, notching one goal and seven assists over that span. The 34-year-old, who has spent parts of 16 seasons with the St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, and Vegas Golden Knights, has 16 points in 19 games this season, and has been an important playmaker early in his Red Wings tenure.
