STATS
The Mullett magic continues.
Six different Coyotes scored, Connor Ingram made 28 saves, and the Arizona Coyotes knocked off the Colorado Avalanche 6-3 at Mullett Arena on Tuesday. The Coyotes are now 6-3-2 at home this season, and have beaten Colorado three straight times dating back to last season.
Cale Makar, Evan Rodrigues, and Mikko Rantanen scored for the Avalanche (19-12-2), who entered Tuesday night with four straight wins. Alexandar Georgiev made 27 saves in the loss.
Lawson Crouse and Jakob Chychrun recorded three points each, while Michael Carcone scored in his first appearance with Arizona (12-16-5) this season. The 26-year-old, who played 21 games with the Coyotes last year, led the American Hockey League with 42 points prior to his call-up earlier Tuesday.

Carcone had a breakaway attempt just seconds into the game but was stopped by Georgiev. His goal came early in the third period on a 3-on-1 break, which gave Arizona a 5-2 lead at the time.

"It felt great, it's obviously nice to score," Carcone said. "It was a beautiful play by the guys. It was easy for me. I just had to put it on net."
The Coyotes were ready to play from the outset of the game and ended up outshooting Colorado 33-31, including a 12-10 advantage in the first period.
Shayne Gostisbehere opened the scoring at 3:55 of the opening period after he one-timed a shot from the point past Georgiev. Chychrun earned his 100th career assist on the tally, and went on to add two more in the game.
"When we let the game come to us, we're a much better team than when we force the game," head coach André Tourigny said. "When we put pucks behind the D and put pucks to the net early in the game, at some point something else opens up, and now we can make a play."
Rodrigues answered 37 seconds later with a power-play goal, one-timing a shot from the left circle over Ingram's pad to even the score. The goal came on Colorado's first shot of the game.
Crouse restored Arizona's lead with a great individual effort at 11:33 of the first, slicing through Colorado defenders in the left circle before backhanding it up and over Georgiev. The 23-year-old leads the team with 14 goals this season.

Nick Schmaltz gave the Coyotes a two-goal cushion at 5:59 of the second after he buried a rebound while Arizona was on the power play. Schmaltz's goal extended his point streak to six games, which matches Clayton Keller's team-leading mark from earlier this season.
He's also recorded a point in seven straight home games.
Makar pulled the Avs to within one at 11: 23 of the second, taking a pass from J.T. Compher in the right circle before wristing it past Ingram's glove.
Rantanen appeared to tie it just 37 seconds later, but the play was challenged by Tourigny and it was deemed to be offside.
It was Tourigny's first challenge of the season, and he is now 3-for-4 with the coach's challenge during his tenure as Arizona's coach. He credited Coyotes head video coordinator Hunter Cherni for making the call, which changed the complexion of the game considering J.J. Moser scored moments later to restore the Coyotes' two-goal lead.

"It was the turning point in the game," Tourigny said. "If he doesn't make that call, it's a 3-3 game. Instead of that, he made that call, they take the goal back, we score, it's a 4-2 game. Changed the rhythm."
Carcone made it 5-2 in the third, and though Rantanen responded just under two minutes later, Colorado failed to find the back of the net in the remainder of the game.
Clayton Keller added an empty netter with 56 seconds to play in the game, cementing Arizona's third consecutive win over the defending Stanley Cup champions, dating back to last season.
"We're playing well here," Crouse said. "The atmosphere out there is fun to play in. Our fans give us a lot of energy, so we just have to keep the wins coming here."
Carcone enjoyed his first Mullett Arena experience.
"I love the atmosphere," he said. "I'd heard good things, and obviously it's different when you experience it yourself. It was great."
The Coyotes play again at home on Thursday at against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Arizona (TV) and Arizona Sports 98.7 FM (Radio). Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm MST.
