Scouting Report
Ruth has developed  into a steady D man who plays a simple game. Lots of ice time even strength and some PP and PK. Average skater who can and will lug the puck up the ice. Makes a good first pass and when he passes the puck he does so with some jam. Makes a good first pass, keeps things simple. Has become a reliable defenseman. Has average feet. Not a big physical force, but defends pretty well off the rush. Could be more physical for his size. Doesn’t see much special teams play.

14. Teddy Ruth (U.S. under-18, NAHL)
Teddy Ruth is another product of Ron Rolston's under-18 program. Although his offensive output is never going to be very high, Ruth's character is off the charts. Ruth possesses all of the necessary skills to become an NHL defenseman, but we believe his work ethic and leadership are what will guarantee his success in the NHL.
