The Washington Capitals announced today Stick With Fitness, a physical education challenge that encourages children to be more physically active.

The free program consists of 5 parts and is designed for first through sixth-grade students. Through the program, each participating student receives a bracelet. Upon completion of each fitness challenge, the student is given a Caps logo charm. The challenges include pushups, sit ups, jumping jacks, mile run and body squats to reinforce the importance of exercise and physical fitness and motivate students to live a healthier lifestyle.

Physical education teachers are encouraged to sign up online at https://www.nhl.com/capitals/community/stick-with-fitness. Upon registration, teachers will receive a welcome packet containing a poster for the gymnasium that explains the challenges as well as the program materials for students.
