Washington Capitals Host Hockey 'n Heels

The Washington Capitals hosted Hockey 'n Heels for more than 200 attendees on Feb. 4 at Medstar Capitals Iceplex.

Held exclusively for members of the Scarlet Caps, the team's female fan club, the annual event featured instructional sessions, question and answer sessions and photo opportunities. Participating Capitals players included Travis Boyd, Madison Bowey, Pheonix Copley and Nic Dowd, as well as head coach Todd Reirden.

Hockey 'n Heels is targeted towards the Capitals' female audience, with instructional sessions and on-ice demonstrations to generate interest in hockey.
Founded in 2009, Scarlet Caps is an organization dedicated to growing and supporting the women's hockey community in the D.C. area.
