ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals today announced Boeing as the team’s playoffs partner. The new agreement continues with Boeing as the primary partner in the team’s pursuit of the Stanley Cup and includes in-arena branding initiatives as well as in-game and digital elements honoring current and former service members.
“We’re happy to continue our partnership with the Capitals, and ready to cheer them on as they rock the red all the way to the Stanley Cup Final,” said Warren Brown, Boeing Defense, Space & Security director of Market Positioning and Brand Strategy.
In keeping with the goal to engage Capitals fans with exciting content, Boeing will present numerous in-game features and institutional messaging via multiple social platforms, including a tribute to active duty U.S. Military hockey fans.
Fans are encouraged to upload a video showing how they or a family member currently serving in the military Rock the Red. Select submissions will be shown during Caps home games at Verizon Center. Fans are asked to upload their video submission to YouTube and tweet the link to @WashCaps using the hashtag #CapsSalute or completing a form on WashingtonCaps.com.
“We are extremely proud and excited to have Boeing as the 2015 Capitals Playoffs presenting partner,” said Monumental Sports & Entertainment vice president of corporate partnerships Patrick Duffy. “We look forward to continue supporting Boeing’s marketing objectives on a local, national and global level.”
