Caps fans showed their support in Charm City as they packed ESPN Zone on Thursday, Feb. 21. Radio play-by-play announcer Steve Kolbe held a question-and-answer session with Capitals defenseman Shaone Morrisonn the restaurant in downtown Baltimore. The session included several trivia questions where fans were able to win a Rod Langway bobblehead, a Capitals-branded Mr. Potato Head and a Caps camouflage hat signed by Morrisonn. The Caps also held a drawing where one fan received a hockey stick autographed by the team and another fan received an official game puck autographed by goaltender Olie Kolzig. Upon the conclusion of the session, Morrisonn signed autographs and took pictures with fans.
ESPN Zone has also provided a Capitals-branded Dream Seat that will be raffled off to one lucky Caps fan after all of the team’s ESPN Zone visits are completed. Any fan that attends the player visits at ESPN Zone can sign up free of charge to enter the drawing. While the chair didn’t make the trip to Baltimore, fans in attendance at Charm City’s ESPN Zone visit are still eligible for the drawing.
Don’t miss out on the fun as the Capitals have only one more player visit left at ESPN Zone this season. Brent Johnson will be at the downtown D.C. location on Monday, Feb. 25, from 7-8 p.m. Check WashingtonCaps.com or espnzone.com for more information.
