Capitals Assign Maxime Daigneault
WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 19, 2005 – The Washington Capitals today assigned goalie Maxime Daigneault to the Hershey Bears (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced.
In 2004-05 Daigneault (DAYN-yoh) played in 11 games for the Portland Pirates, the Capitals’ former AHL affiliate, posting a 3-2-1 record and a 2.91 goals-against average. He also played 21 games for the Capitals’ ECHL affiliate, South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), where he posted an 11-6-1 record with a 3.02 GAA and one shutout.
The Capitals play their third preseason game against Buffalo on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at MCI Center. The game will be broadcast live on
The team will kick off the 2005-06 season by opening Oct. 5 at MCI Center, facing the Columbus Blue Jackets at 7 p.m.
