Puck Surprise a Success

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
Washington Capitals Charities raised more than $5,100 during the Feb. 11 Valentine’s Day Puck Surprise, selling packages that included autographed pucks and Hershey’s Kisses. Fans took home more than 200 pucks signed by current Capitals. The pucks went on sale when the doors opened at MCI Center at 6 p.m. and were sold out before the game started. Five lucky fans selected pucks that were not signed by a player, and as a result those winners got to meet center Brian Sutherby and defenseman Mike Green after the game. Sutherby and Green signed their pucks and took pictures with the winners.

The Capitals would like to congratulate our Valentine’s Day Puck Surprise winners, Emma Knick, Amanda Powers, Terry Salley, Vicki Sehutz and Alex Thropp, and all of the participants who helped make it a success.
