Police and Fire Night Silent Auction

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals are hosting a silent auction benefiting Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) at the team’s annual Police and Fire Night on Tuesday, April 3 at Verizon Center. Bidding will take place at the community relations table located behind section 104, starting at 6 p.m. and concluding at the beginning of the third period.

Featured auction items include a Caps team-signed jersey and stick, game-used sticks and a Tomas Fleischmann game-issued jersey. In addition, an authentic team-signed  Metropolitan Police Department motorcycle helmet and a D.C. Fire Department helmet and axe are also on the auction block.

COPS provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, as determined by Federal government criteria. Furthermore, COPS provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
