On Monday, June 25, the Washington Capitals Alumni Association hosted their Rooftop Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA. The event featured whiskey tasting, an array of cigars, as well as a live auction for experiences with Capitals Alumni players. Proceeds from the event totaled over $47,000, and will be used to provide scholarship opportunities to select student-athletes from each of the six high school hockey leagues in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area on behalf of the WCAA.
