NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE TO CONDUCT ON-LINE AUCTION BENEFITING THE FORT DUPONT ICE ARENA

 NEW YORK (February 27, 2012) -- The National Hockey League (NHL®) today announced plans to conduct an on-line auction to benefit the Fort Dupont Ice Arena, home of the Fort Dupont Ice Hockey Club, an award-winning, nationally-recognized hockey program for inner-city youth and a member of the NHL's Hockey is for Everyone™ initiative.


Two historical items are up for grabs, including a 2012 NHL All-Star “Team Chara” jersey signed by members of both teams, and a Washington Capitals replica home jersey signed by Alexander Ovechkin. Both items come with a Letter of Authenticity from the National Hockey League.    

        Bids can be made starting today through March 7, 2012 by visiting the NHL Auctions site at auction.nhl.com.
