MSE launched its Social Impact initiative in the fall of 2019 to harness all its resources and assets to shine its spotlight on one nonprofit each month, elevating that cause to ignite players, fans and MSE staff to give back to the community.

DC Central Kitchen's newest outpost,
DC Central Kitchen Cafe
, located on the campus of THEARC on Mississippi Avenue SE in Ward 8, serves as both a training program for young adults and a fully operational cafe and catering outfit. Offering a variety of catering options, the Cafe serves up fresh food featuring locally sourced ingredients and is made with love by DC Central Kitchen staff and students.
Proceeds of all catering orders support DC Central Kitchen's work to fight hunger differently across the District.
In addition to calling on fans of the Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, and Go-Go to support the culinary students, MSE is also asking them to make monetary donations to DCCK and/or volunteer their time alongside MSE staff on "Monumental Mondays" at DCCK throughout January 2020.
