Washington, D.C. – Monumental Sports Network, which relaunched in March 2016 with mobile and OTT streaming devices and is owned and operated by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, received five Emmy Award nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) National Capital Chesapeake Bay Region. All of Monumental’s nominations are for broadcast excellence and include Best Sports Feature Segment, Best Sports Director Post Production, Best Editor Short Form, Best Photographer Sports and Best Editor Sports.

Caps Red Line presented by GEICO, which has won four previous Emmys, received a nomination for Best Sports Feature Segment featuring Braden Holtby and his game-day routine.
The Washington Wizards video open for the 2015-16 season received two nominations, one for Best Director Post Production and one for Best Editor Short Form.
Another two nominations for Monumental Sports Network included Best Photographer for Sports and Best Editor for Sports.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences selects judges from the remaining chapters in the association, who are then asked to vote on the award recipients for each category.
