Matt Pettinger to Coach Virginia Wild on Tuesday, Nov. 13

As part of the Washington Capitals Coached by a Cap program, Caps left wing Matt Pettinger will attend the Virginia Wild practice at SkateQuest Reston on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 9 p.m. Pettinger will skate with the Midget U18AA team, give them some pointers, answer questions and sign autographs for the players.

To find out how your team can be Coached by a Cap, CLICK HERE ( or contact Tim Bronaugh at 202.266.2341 or Teams of all ages in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area are encouraged to enter. Entries will be accepted until Feb. 25.

Once a team enters they are eligible to be selected for the duration of the program. However, teams may receive only one player visit per season.

Coached by a Cap is part of the Capitals Pucks to Bucks group sales fundraising program. Funds are generated through Capitals ticket sales with a portion of the proceeds donated back to the team or club that buys them. By participating you not only have the opportunity to get Coached by a Cap but you also will be raising money for your team.
