Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) announced today that Leidos will be the presenting sponsor of the 2019 Capitals Esports Faceoff as well as a new interactive esports gaming zone on the second level concourse at Capital One Arena.

"Fans will really enjoy the camaraderie of competition at this engaging activation area. Leidos is the ideal match as we continue to make our mark in this innovative space, including our latest foray into NHL esports."
The Capitals Esports Faceoff is MSE's latest endeavor into the esports space and will feature eight participants who will challenge each other at an in-person, double-elimination tournament for a shot at $10,000 and one of the coveted final three roster spots when the Capitals face the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2019 Chel Classic on March 19 at Capital One Arena.
In addition to jersey patch and logo integration on player uniforms, Leidos will have integration on all team social posts related to the esports platform, brand integration in all posted original programming, Twitch in-stream integration and tile inclusion, and branding on Capitals Esports Faceoff player profiles.

The esports fan activation area, located outside the PWC Club on the second level concourse, will feature two Xbox and two PlayStation consoles to give fans the opportunity to play NHL 19 and NBA 2K beginning with the Washington Wizards game Saturday, Feb. 23 and Capitals game Sunday, Feb. 24. To celebrate this weekend's opening of the gaming wall, players will have a chance to win Wizards District Gaming swag, seat upgrades, team store gift cards for Capitals gear, and tickets to future games. Fans can also explore MSE's history and investment in the esports realm through a timeline chronicling two of its franchises - Team Liquid and Wizards DG.
Leidos was the official season presenting partner of Wizards District Gaming in its inaugural season as a member of the NBA 2K League in 2018.
