Hershey's Andrew Gordon Named RBK /American Hockey League Player of the Week

Rookie from Portors Lake, Nova Scotia Scores Four Goals, Assists on Three Others to Take the Honor.


HERSHEY, Pa – The Hershey Bears announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey league that rookie right wing Andrew Gordon has been named the RBK/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending February 10.  The announcement was made today by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst

Gordon enjoyed the best week of his young career, first recording three goals against the Portland Pirates on Wednesday night.  The Porters Lake, Nova Scotia native followed up that performance with a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday evening at Wachovia Arena. In all, Gordon tallied four goals and three assists for seven points as the Bears moved 11 games over the .500 mark for the first time this season.  In honor of his achievement, Gordon will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Bears home game.
