The Washington Capitals and the team's Wives Club are hosting their annual Happy Hockey Holiday Silent Auction at the Caps game against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, Dec. 23. Fans are encouraged to stop by the community relations table located at section 104 on the main concourse to meet the players’ wives and bid on gift baskets that contain some of the players’ favorite things, autographed items and game-used equipment. Bidding starts when doors open at 6 p.m. and will conclude when the puck drops to start the third period.
All money raised from this auction will benefit Washington Capitals Charities and will be applied to the Salvation Army Angel Trees program that the Capitals participated in this holiday season. The team adopted 25 local families through this program, providing toys, books and clothing for 63 children and gift cards to Target and Safeway for their parents and guardians.
Gift baskets will be available for bidding for the following players:
These gift baskets are always a hit and are a great idea for a holiday present for the special Caps fan in your life. Be sure to stop by the community relations table on Dec. 23 to check them out!
