NEW YORK, NY. – Caps Red Line presented by GEICO, a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes look at the Washington Capitals, will re-air its fourth season nationally for the first time on NHL Network beginning on Tuesday, July 31, at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The show, which airs on Comcast SportsNet during the regular season, won the Emmy Award in 2010 and 2011 for Outstanding Program Achievement for Sports – Programming Series, by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS-NCCB).

Caps Red Line presented by GEICO is comprised of a number of segments each week, including:

GEICO All Access

A behind-the-scenes look at your favorite Caps players and events.

Cruisin’ presented by Inova Blood Donor Services An intimate first-person drive with Capitals’ players, alumni and other special guests as they discuss life in the nation’s capital.

X’s and O’s presented by SUBWAY® Restaurants Capitals players and coaches break down strategies, plays and key moments of the season.

Forces of Hockey presented by Herb Gordon Subaru Hosted by Professor Lou Bloomfield, Ph.D., a physics professor at the University of Virginia, this segment discusses the physics of the game with the help of Capitals forward Troy Brouwer.

Elliot’s Take On…

Hosted by Elliot of DC 101’s Elliot in the Morning, Elliot gives viewers his unique perspective on everything related to Capitals hockey.


Caps players answer questions from each other in this candid, unconventional interview segment.
