Comcast SportsNet to Provide Complete Behind-the-Scenes Coverage of Capitals at NHL Draft and Awards Ceremony

Comcast SportsNet’s Al Koken to be On Site with Alexander Ovechkin and Capitals 2006 Draft Selections Bethesda, MD – June 21, 2006 – Comcast SportsNet will be on site at the 2006 NHL Awards Show and 2006 NHL Entry Draft this Thursday and Saturday, respectively, in Vancouver, B.C. Al Koken, who serves as part of the network’s Capitals broadcast team, is in Vancouver to bring viewers exclusive interviews with Calder Trophy and Lester B. Pearson Award finalist Alexander Ovechkin, the Capitals 2006 Draft Selections and Capitals General Manager George McPhee.
Koken will provide viewers with behind-the-scenes access to Ovechkin from Thursday’s NHL Awards Show. The vignettes will air during Comcast SportsNet’s SportsNite on Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, at 6:30 PM, 10 PM and 1 AM.
The network will also feature an interview with Capitals General Manager George McPhee and the team’s top draft selection during Saturday’s SportsNite at 6:30 PM. The Capitals hold the fourth overall pick in this year’s Entry Draft.
