ARLINGTON, Va. –Washington Capitals captain Chris Clark will attend a youth hockey practice at Rockville Ice Arena in Rockville, Md., Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7:40 a.m. The MYHA Mites won Clark’s visit through the Coached by a Cap program, a new initiative created this season. Forwards Matt Pettinger, Tomas Fleischmann and defenseman Jeff Schultz have each taken part in the program, which gives players a chance to demonstrate skills and answer questions during the winning team’s practice. Approximately 70 seven- and eight-year old players are expected to take part in Saturday’s session.
Coached by a Cap is part of the Capitals’ Pucks to Bucks group sales fundraising program.
