Chinese New Year Parade Street Closings to Impact Capitals Fans

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals fans attending the team’s game against the New York Rangers tomorrow, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at Verizon Center, may want to allow extra time traveling to and from the game due to the Year of the Rat Chinese New Year Parade scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in Chinatown, adjacent to the Verizon Center.

Due to the parade, H Street NW between 6th and 7th Streets NW will be closed for the entire day. In addition, the following streets around Verizon Center will be closed during the parade, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
•    I Street, N.W. between 5th and 7th Streets, NW
•    7th Street, N.W. between I and G Streets, NW
•    G Street, N.W. between 7th and 9th Streets, NW
•    8th Street, N.W. between G and H Streets, NW
•    H Street, N.W. between 8th and 6th Streets, NW
•    6th Street, N.W. between Massachusetts Avenue and G Streets, NW
