Caps@School October Winners Potomac View Elementary School

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
Washington Capitals mascot Slapshot paid a visit to Potomac View Elementary School in Woodbridge, Va., on Oct. 26 to congratulate the October Caps@School winners. Provided with a burrito party sponsored by Chipotle, the fifth grade math students were presented with pucks signed by left wing Alexander Semin for their job well done in the classroom. The students used the Caps@School criteria to find the shooting percentages of various Caps players by rounding the percentages to the nearest whole numbers, tenths and hundredths places. Based on these numbers, the students selected a “Shooting Dream Team,” which was made up of the five Caps players who had the best shooting percentages. The Washington Capitals want to extend their congratulations to these students!
