Caps Red Line Returns Oct. 5

ARLINGTON, Va. – Caps Red Line (CRL) presented by GEICO is returning for a special preseason episode on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. CRL takes viewers behind the scenes of the weeks leading up to the regular season. Replays will air on Friday, Oct. 7 at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. on Comcast SportsNet and on WashingtonCaps.com.


During the summer Caps Red Line Episode One was awarded a 2010 Emmy Award by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS-NCCB) in the Sports Program Series category.

One-on-One with John Walton presented by Herb Gordon Subaru
This is part one of an exclusive interview with Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau. New Caps radio play-by-play announcer John Walton sits down with Boudreau and discusses the off-season, the newly-acquired players, his outlook on the upcoming season and thoughts on the development of Alexander Semin as a key figure for the Caps this season.

Elliot’s Take on the Capitals Convention
Elliot Segal from Elliot in the Morning returns for another season of CRL as he provides his own unique perspective on the 2011 Caps Convention presented by GEICO. Elliot asks the players what item they have autographed the most in their hockey careers. Viewers will be surprised to learn what item Alexander Semin has signed a few times in his hockey career.

Cruisin presented by Inova Blood Donor Services
This segment returns as CRL rides along with Hockey Hall-of-Famer Mike Gartner as he drives to the Caps alumni game at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Gartner discusses his life since retiring and reflects on his playing days in Washington, D.C. He also discusses how amazing it is to see the D.C. area fans embrace this generation’s team.
