Caps Kids Club Open Skate Recap

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
The Caps Kids Club hosted its first Open Skate on Sunday for all Kids Club members. The Open Skate took place at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, where everyone was able to skate on the same ice that the Capitals practice on.  Close to 200 people were in attendance; skating and skate rentals were free for all club members and their guests.

Slapshot was in attendance to keep the kids laughing and having fun.  Hockey sticks, hats, tickets and pucks were given away to some of the lucky club members.  When the skaters were cold or taking a break, they were able to watch from above while eating snacks and drawing their favorite hockey players. Before leaving, each received a Caps backpack and water bottle.

The Kids Club will have different events throughout the season for all members. If not yet a member, make sure to sign up today!  Click Here to Sign Up
