ToyDrive

The Washington Capitals are hosting a Caps Care toy drive supported by GEICO to benefit The Salvation Army on Sunday, Dec. 2, when the Capitals host the Anaheim Ducks at Capital One Arena.

Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys at building entrances. Individuals who donate will receive a poster of Capitals forward Lars Eller, a select amount of which are autographed. Posters are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Last year Capitals fans donated nearly 700 toys and donated $500.
The Salvation Army assisted more than 66,890 people last year through a diverse range of services. Employees and volunteers provide compassionate care to everyone in need of help without discrimination. The organization offers meals and services to the homeless and emergency assistance to individuals and families (including rent, utilities, and food.) In addition, The Salvation Army provides emergency shelter to the survivors of all forms of human trafficking; transformational help for young mothers and their children; comprehensive addiction treatment for adults; disaster relief, and youth enrichment through music, arts and education. The Salvation Army expects to help 12,500 children for Christmas this year. For more information or to donate, visit us at SalvationArmyNCA.org or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
