Capitals Team Up with Junior Women’s Hockey League to Host 2015 JWHLChallenge Cup at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and Rockville Ice Arena

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals and the Junior Women’s Hockey League (JWHL) will host the eighth annual JWHL Challenge Cup at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va., and Rockville Ice Arena in Rockville, Md., Jan. 16-19.

The 2015 JWHL All Star game will be held at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex on Thursday Jan 15, at 7:30pm, the evening preceding the start of the Challenge Cup.

The U19 Division will play at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex beginning Jan. 16. The U16 Division will begin on Jan. 17, and games will be played at the Rockville Ice Arena. All games are free and open to the public. The full schedule of games is available at www.jwhl.org.

The tournament features teams from across Canada and the United States, including:

Group A:

Boston Shamrocks – Boston, Mass.

Colorado Select – Denver, Colo.

Balmoral Hall School – Winnipeg, Manitoba

Group B:

Dawson College – Montreal, Que.

USA Hockey Club – Detroit, Mich.

Burlington Barracudas – Burlington, Ont.

Group C:

Pacific Stealers – Richmond, B.C.

North American Hockey Academy – Stowe, Vt.

The Washington Pride – Washington, D.C.

Group D:

Edouard Montpetit – Longueuil, Quebec

Canadian Hockey Institute – Ottawa, Ontario

Ridley College – St. Catherines, Ontario
