Capitals Season Opener and Home Opener to be Broadcast on 106.7 The Fan

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals’ season opener and home opener will be broadcast on 106.7 The Fan . Those two games will not be heard on the Capitals’ usual flagship stations, WFED 1500 AM and 820 AM, due to conflicts with the Washington Nationals’ schedule. Last season 106.7 The Fan carried the Capitals’ last three regular-season games and all of the team’s Stanley Cup playoff games.

106.7 The Fan’s Caps coverage begins Thursday, Oct. 1, when Washington plays in Boston for the season opener. 106.7 The Fan will then broadcast the home opener, presented by Geico, when the Toronto Maple Leafs come to town Saturday, Oct. 3. In addition to broadcasting the games, 106.7 The Fan also will carry a complete pregame show and an extensive postgame show, which will be presented by Eye Doctors of Washington, the official eye doctor of the team. The weekly one-hour show Saturday Night Caps at 6 p.m. also will be broadcasted on WJFK on Oct. 3.
