Washington, D.C. – January 25, 2006 – The Washington Capitals have recalled forward Colin Forbes from Hershey of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.
Forbes, 29, had been assigned to Hershey yesterday. Forbes has played in six games with the Capitals this season since his original recall on Jan. 10, and is still seeking his first point of the season. A former Capital who was reacquired in a trade with Carolina Dec. 28, the 6’4”, 224-pound native of New Westminster, British Columbia, has played 308 career NHL games, registering 33 goals and 28 assists (61 points).
Forbes has played five games with Hershey this season, posting two goals and one assist, and has 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 39 AHL games this season with Hershey and Lowell.
