Capitals Recall Boyd Gordon from Hershey

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Capitals have recalled center Boyd Gordon from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced.

Gordon, 22, has played 24 games with the Capitals this season, recording one assist. He leads all NHL forwards in penalty killing ice time at 5:16 per game. A 6’0”, 201-pound Unity, Saskatechewan, native, Gordon has 14 goals and 17 assists (31 points) in 46 games for the Bears this season and ranks third on the team with a +7 rating.
