Washington, D.C. – January 31, 2006 – The Washington Capitals have recalled forward Boyd Gordon from Hershey of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.
Gordon has appeared in 31 games for Hershey this season, tallying 22 points (10-12-22). The 6’1”, 201-pound Unity, Saskatchewan, native has also played in 21 games for the Capitals this season, starting the season in Washington before being assigned to Hershey after the first nine games. He was recalled again on Jan. 4. The Capitals chose Gordon in the first round, 17th overall, of the 2002 Entry Draft.
