by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
Washington, D.C. – The Washington Capitals have re-signed right wing Matt Bradley to a two-year contract, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bradley, 28, had 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 74 games in his first season as a Capital in 2005-06. He ranked second on the team with 120 hits and recorded his first two two-goal games of his career (Oct. 13 vs. New York Islanders, March 29 at Carolina Hurricanes). Bradley’s point total ranked 12th on the Capitals and he was tied for 10th in goals.

A 6’3”, 205-pound native of Stittsville, Ontario, Bradley is entering his ninth professional season. He joined the Capitals as a free agent last August and has played 277 career NHL games for Washington, Pittsburgh and San Jose.
