This inaugural cocktail event will feature a variety of tastings and custom drinks featuring Makers Mark products, courtesy of Beam Suntory. Attendees will enjoy an open bar and premium hors d'oeuvres will be served all evening to complement the selection of fine cigars available to sample while mingling on the rooftop with former Capitals players.
Alumni including Mike Knuble, Olie Kolzig and Rod Langway will participate in the samplings and take part in storytelling sessions. Additional alumni will be announced at a later date.
Attendees will also be able to participate in a live and silent auction featuring experiences with Caps alumni.
Proceeds from the event will be used to provide a scholarship opportunity to a select student-athlete from each of the six high school hockey leagues in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area on behalf of the WCAA.
