The Capitals have helped provide coats for nearly 14,000 people during the six years of hosting this drive. Charities that have received coat donations include Center City Community Corporation, Coalition for the Homeless, Mary’s House, My Sister’s Place, Baptist Home for Children and Families, Crossway Community, Lutheran Social Services, Catholic Charities/St. Vincent de Paul Society, Georgia Avenue Family Support Collaborative, Easter Seals Children’s Center, S.O.M.E. and Serve, Inc.

Since its inception in 1981, the Coalition has worked through litigation, public education and direct services to ensure that these goals are realized.
SERVE, Inc. is a nonprofit community organization that is dedicated to strengthening the Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park community through comprehensive programs and partnerships that provide basic needs and promote economic independence for homeless and underprivileged individuals and families.
