blazers MW

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals Better Halves auction featuring playoffs blazers raised more than $20,000 for Safe Shores.

The jackets were modeled after blazers Capitals better halves are wearing in honor of the playoffs and feature 'Capitals' embroidered on the back. It is a tradition for the better halves to create matching jackets in support of the team during the playoffs. This season's design was intended as a business-casual, DC-inspired look.
Blazers were team-signed and available in a variety of sizes. In addition, each blazer was paired with a player face pin, as well as an autographed Capitals jersey and puck. All embroidery was donated by BROdenim.
One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit Safe Shores. Safe Shores provides intervention, hope and healing for children and families affected by abuse, trauma and violence in the District of Columbia, and prevents child abuse through education and training.
