Capitals Assign Brian Fahey, Mathieu Perreault to Hershey

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have assigned defenseman Brian Fahey and center Mathieu Perreault to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Fahey, 29, has played two games for the Capitals this season, most recently in last night’s 7-2 victory at Calgary. The 6’1”, 215-pound native of Des Plaines, Ill., has recorded two points (1 goal, 1 assist) and 10 penalty minutes in four games for the Bears this season.

Perreault, 22, has two assists in three games for the Capitals this season, both coming in last Saturday’s overtime win against Atlanta. The Drummondville, Quebec, native has recorded four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in four games with Hershey this season.
