Capitals Announce Summer Development Camp Schedule

Scrimmage on July 13 at GIANT Center open to the public Washington, D.C. – June 28, 2006 – The Washington Capitals will hold their annual summer development camp July 9-14 in Hershey, Pa., home of the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the 2005-06 Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears.
The camp, which features recent Capitals draft picks and prospects, includes on- and off-ice workouts. GIANT Center will host a four-on-four/power play scrimmage on Thursday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m. that is open to the public and free of charge. Doors will open for the event at 7 p.m. All other on- and off-ice sessions are closed to the public.
The camp’s complete roster is yet to be finalized, but among the confirmed participants are Capitals first-round draft picks Sasha Pokulok (2005) and Jeff Schultz (2004) and Maryland natives Luke Lynes (a 2006 Capitals draft pick) and Stephen Werner (a 2003 Capitals draft pick who signed with the club in March).
