Ted Leonsis and George McPhee To Visit Broadcast Booth
Bethesda, MD (August 25, 2005) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, will telecast the Washington Capitals preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, September 30 at 7 PM, marking the first time the team has had a preseason game televised in the region.

The contest will preview what may become a rivalry between two of the brightest young stars in the NHL, when the top selections of the past two NHL drafts, Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby may face off.

Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and General Manager George McPhee are expected to visit the booth during the contest to preview the upcoming season.

The complete 2005-06 Washington Capitals television schedule will be announced in the near future.
