Capitals Re-sign Center Graham Mink

 WASHINGTON, D.C. - August 15, 2005 - The Washington Capitals have re-signed center Graham Mink, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mink, 26, was signed as a free agent by Washington April 9, 2002. He made his NHL debut with the Capitals in 2003-04. The 6' 3", 217-pound native of Stowe, Vt., recorded 18 goals, 21 assists (39 points) and 86 penalty minutes in 63 games with the AHL's Portland Pirates in 2004-05.

In five AHL seasons Mink has totaled 75 goals, 72 assists (147 points) and 325 penalty minutes in 258 games. He has appeared in two NHL games, totaling two penalty minutes. Prior to beginning his pro career in 2001-02, Mink played three seasons of collegiate hockey with Vermont of the ECAC.
