2014 Mid-Atlantic Girls Hockey League finals

by Staff Writer / Washington Capitals
In the Mid-Atlantic Girls Hockey League finals, Holton-Arms defeated Archbishop Spalding Red to retain the 2014 Capitals Cup.  This was the Fourth title in a row for the school and the 10th in the last 16 years.  It was a close game through the first period, but the scoring opened up in the second.  The Panthers were able to put 5 past the opposing goalie in the second and hung on a strong lead until the end with a total of eight goals scored by Greer Korengold ‘14 (two goals), Blair Greenwald ‘14 (three goals), Marisa Postal ‘15 (two goals) and Catherine Meyer ’15 (one goal).  Congratulations to head coach Kim Mathias and the girls of the Holton-Arms Ice Hockey Program.
