GOAL OF THE GAME

He who strikes first, strikes best? Sounds about right.

Canucks Head Coach Travis Green Talks Pre-Season

READY TO BROCK

No one is more thrilled than Brock Boeser that pre-season games start this week. The star forward, who scored 29 goals last season before missing the final 18-games because of injury, has bulked up eight-to-10 pounds and said he feels as good as he has in years.
"I'm just excited to play games again, coming off my injury, it's been a while," said Boeser. "I'm really excited to get into a game and get my confidence back, play the game I want to play, get some scoring chances and put a few in."

ON THE MEND

For the fourth straight day Antoine Roussel skated prior to Canucks practice. During the most intense on-ice session of the week, Roussel worked with Evan McEneny, who is working his way back from injury, and goalies Jacob Markstrom and Anders Nilsson. Coach Green said he expects Roussel will be practicing with the Canucks this week.
