HIGH FIVE

  • Vancouver has now scored five-plus goals in four consecutive games - the 2nd time in 20 years. The last time the Canucks accomplished the feat was March 6-24/2000. An 8-game streak marks the club record when scoring five or more from Feb. 27-Mar. 21/1983 .

POWER PLAY PRODUCTION

The Canucks were powered by four power play goals in a 5-3 win over the Kings at the Staples Center on Oct. 30th, led by two goals on the man advantage from Brock Boeser. It marks the first time since Jan. 7th, 2012 that the team has scored four power play goals.

BOESER NETS THIRD CAREER HAT TRICK

Brock Boeser scored the third hat trick of his career on Oct. 30/19 in Los Angeles. With an added assist (3-1-4), Boeser recorded a four-point game for the fourth time in his NHL career. He is the fifth player in franchise history to have three or more three-goal games before the age of 23 (behind Pavel Bure - 5, Tony Tanti - 4).

MILLER SCORES 100+

JT Miller scored his 100th and 101st career goal vs Florida on Oct. 28/19 at Rogers Arena. Drafted 15th overall by the New York Rangers in 2011, Miller is the 14th member of his draft class to reach the 100 goal plateau and ranks 5th among his peers to reach the milestone in the fewest number of games at 446.

PRODUCTION FROM PETTERSSON

With three assists on Oct. 28/19, Elias Pettersson improved his career totals to 31-49-80 in 82 GP. Only Pavel Bure required fewer games to reach 80 points as a Canuck (49-31-80 in 80 GP).

HEAD OF THE CLASS

Bo Horvat collected his 100th career goal on Oct. 20/19 at NYR to become the 4th player from the 2013 NHL Draft to score 100 or more goals. Sean Monahan, Nathan MacKinnon and Aleksander Barkov are the three that have accomplished the feat to date.
After recording his first career hat trick on Oct. 22/19 at DET, Horvat sits at 103 career goals. Of the 103 career goals, 28 have come on the power play, six shorthanded and 69 at even strength. The last time a Vancouver Canuck scored a hat trick against Detroit was Nov. 13/05 by Todd Bertuzzi.

YOUNG GUN

Quinn Hughes (19 years, 360 days) notched his first NHL goal Oct. 9 vs LA and became the youngest Canucks defenceman to find the back of the net since J.J Daigneault (19 years, 176 days) did so on April 6, 1985 at Los Angeles.

LIGHT THE LAMP

The Canucks tied a club record for goals in a home opener with 8 on Oct. 9/19 vs LA (the two previous times were Oct. 8/87 vs STL and Oct. 11/78 vs CLR). According to NHL PR, just three other teams in the last 10 years have scored eight or more goals in their home opener: Chicago (10; Oct. 5/17 vs PIT), Philadelphia (8; Oct. 14/17 vs WSH) and Toronto (8; Oct. 7/17 vs NYR). The last time the Canucks scored 8 goals in a game was Nov. 8/18 vs Boston, which ended in an 8-5 Canucks win.
