Vancouver, B.C. -Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has recalled Joseph LaBate and defenceman Jordan Subban from the AHL Utica Comets.

LaBate, 23, has appeared in 25 games for the Comets this season registering nine points (2-7-9) and 55 penalty minutes. The 6-5, 208-pound forward made his NHL debut with the Canucks this season playing 3 games and recording 7 penalty minutes. A native of Eagan, Minnesota, LaBate was selected by Vancouver in the fourth round, 101st overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Subban, 21, has appeared in 46 games with Utica this season where he currently leads defencemen in goals (13), and points (29) and ranks second in assists (16). Subban also leads the team in powerplay goals (8) and ranks fourth in shots (111). A native of Rexdale, Ontario, Subban was selected by Vancouver in the fourth round, 115th overall, at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
