Around the globe, some leagues have already started their playoffs and others are wrapping up their regular seasons. There are plenty of storylines to follow for Canucks prospects over the next couple of weeks and we'll dive into it in this prospect update!

Russia

  • It's been a tough season for Artyom Manukyan as he has only been able to dress for seven regular season games. He remains out of the Avangrad lineup in the postseason.

Sweden

Finland

  • Finland's top league, Liiga, is also winding down their season with teams have about five games left in their regular seasons. 2018 5th round pick, Toni Utunen continues to play on the bottom pairing for Tappara. He has three assists in 31 games this season.
  • Petrus Palmu sits at 12 goals and 20 assists in 44 games this season.

Czech Republic

  • Karel Plasek remains at three goals and three assists in 34 ExtraLiga games this season. He is currently out of the lineup with injury.

NCAA

  • Jack Rathbone is closing out his season strong. Since our last update a couple weeks ago, Rathbone scored two goals and assisted on seven more to bring his season totals to 28 points (6-22-28) in 26 NCAA games. He leads all Harvard defenceman in points.

CHL

  • The Calgary Hitmen has clinched a WHL playoff spot, which means Canucks prospect Carson Focht and Jett Woo will have their seasons extended with hopes of securing a title.
  • Carson Focht has 31 goals and 21 assists in 57 games this season. He is ranked 2nd in goals on the Hitmen.
  • Jett Woo picked up eight assists over the last eight games and now has seven goals and 37 assists in 60 games this season. He leads Hitmen defenceman in all scoring categories.
  • The Barrie Colts have also clinched a playoff spot - Arturs Silovs has had a bit of an up and down month but has been playing regularly for the Colts. He is 16-11-1-2 with a 3.70 GAA and 0.895 SV%.
  • Ethan Keppen remains our of the Flint Firebirds lineup.
