Status report
Miller is expected to play after he did not practice Tuesday (maintenance). He took line rushes at first-line center during the morning skate after playing left wing on the first line with Pettersson at center and Boeser at right wing in a 1-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. … Schenn, who has missed eight games, rotated with Hunt on the third defense pair in the morning skate. … Malkin worked with Penguins skills coach Ty Hennes before the morning skate. Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan said there is not a target date for when the center, who is expected to be out until at least December after having knee surgery June 4, could return to practice.
