Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Canucks are proud to host their first ever EA Sports NHL 19 tournament, the 2019 Canucks Chel Challenge, from August 3rd to 17th. With open registration, all NHL 19 players across British Columbia, ages 13 and above, are invited to enter for a chance to be crowned 2019 Canucks Chel Champion. The grand prize includes an opportunity to play NHL 20 with a Vancouver Canuck player plus a VIP experience at an upcoming 2019.20 Canucks regular season game.

Registration for each of the four qualifying tournaments is now open with a maximum number of 256 players per tournament. Each qualifying tournament game will be played on Playstation 4 online via Battlefy in single elimination format except round of eight where it will be played best of three. The eight players that advance from the four qualifying tournaments will play in the 2019 Canucks Chel Challenge Finals held on Saturday, August 17th at The Gaming Stadium in Richmond, B.C. Admission to the finals is free for all fans on a first come, first served basis.
