One lucky fan will become an honorary GM for a day
Vancouver BC – The Vancouver Canucks and Direct Energy are proud to announce the launch of Direct Energy’s You Call the Shots Contest, where one lucky fan will experience what it is like to be General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks for a day. Direct Energy’s You Call the Shots Contest will award one fortunate fan and three friends a rare hockey prize package. The group of four will have the opportunity to watch the morning skate, meet with Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis, view the game from his private box and receive a VIP dining experience at General Motors Place. The prize package also includes a behind-the-scenes tour, on-ice picture and team-autographed jersey.
“We are pleased to work closely with Direct Energy to be able to provide the opportunity for one of our loyal fans to gain a deeper insight into the on goings of a professional sports team,” said Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis. “The Direct Energy You Call the Shots Contest offers a unique experience that we know any hockey fan would love to win.”
Fans can register to win and review official contest rules at www.directenergy.com/canucks between January 23 and March 11, 2008. No purchase is necessary. The Direct Energy You Call the Shots Contest is open to legal British Columbia residents 21 years of age and older. Only one entry per valid email address will be accepted.
“Direct Energy is delighted that Dave and the team have agreed to participate in such a fun contest that will give the winning fan an experience to remember,” said Clinton Roeder, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Direct Energy. “We sought a partnership with the Canucks specifically because of their remarkable commitment to their fans and the community.”
