What happened to May? Who knows.
The off-season is in full swing, with a handful of Canucks in Vancouver, the rest scattered all over the world. Who’s where and what are they up to? For the most part our players have been relatively quiet, vacationing with family and friends, leaving their phones at bay.
Here’s a look at what the Canucks have shared from their summers.
Ryan Miller’s 13-month-old son Bodie is blessed with a goalie as a father and an actress as a mother, so maybe someday he’ll be an acting athlete. Ryan and Bodie have been working on the athlete part, as he tweeted out recently, having some fun with Bo Horvat.
Speaking of Horvat, he’s been keeping in shape by hiking, golfing and trying barre. No word on how sore he was the next day.
The Canucks welcomed a new defenceman to the team last week in Erik Gudbranson, who was quick to share his excitement. What’s he been up to lately? Oh just touring South Africa with former Vancouver forward Shawn Matthias.
Mr & Mrs Tryamkin
Nikita Tryamkin returned to Russia when the season ended and got down to business marrying his fiancé Anastasiia. The newlyweds honeymooned in the Canary Islands.
Jake of all trades
Jake Virtanen has been making appearances throughout Vancouver of late, visiting Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC and, alongside Emerson Etem, Ronald McDonald House – last week alone. It was literally all fun and games for Virtanen, who even worked up a sweat playing dodgeball with the kids!
