Traffic patterns affected around Rogers Arena

Vancouver, B.C. – Canucks Sports and Entertainment reminds those attending the Canucks home game tonight versus the Calgary Flames that due to the Times of India Film Awards at BC Place, significant added volume and traffic pattern changes are expected around Rogers Arena.

Guests attending the game are encouraged to account for the added volume of traffic and plan to arrive early. Gates open at Rogers Arena at 6:00 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for the Times of India Film Awards with an anticipated attendance of 45,000 people.

Traffic patterns around Rogers Arena will be affected by the Times of India Film Awards. Terry Fox Way (connecting route between Expo Blvd. and Pacific Blvd.) will be closed to all vehicle traffic. Expo Blvd. between Griffiths Way and Terry Fox Way will have a single lane closure on the left inside lane.

Guests at Rogers Arena and BC Place are also reminded to anticipate extra volume in parking lots in the vicinity.

Additional Vancouver Police traffic authority members will be on-site to manage the flow of traffic for access to both Rogers Arena and BC Place.
